Following the Chiefs’ humbling loss in the Super Bowl, one of the many things that have caught fans’ attention is Travis Kelce’s hair, with some speculating a Turkish hair transplant by the 35-year-old.
Taking to Twitter/X, one user commented, “When we gonna talk about this Travis kelce hair transplant” while another wrote, “Travis Kelce ass was in Turkey getting his new wig when he shoulda been in rehearsal! That’s why yall getting y’all a** whooped!”

According to Dr Gizem Seymenoglu, a medical aesthetician and hair loss specialist at Longevita’s London clinic, nothing, in fact, seems out of place with Travis’ hair. However, things might change for Travis’ hair in the future.
“It seems highly unlikely that Travis had any kind of a hair transplant. That’s because he really doesn’t seem to need one — at least not at the moment.
Over the years, his hairline has only imperceptibly receded, which can be explained by the maturation of the hairline caused by ageing. There are absolutely no visible signs of hair loss.
Since Travis is often seen with a buzzcut, now that he has grown his hair out longer than before, it makes his hair look fuller and, therefore, different.”
However, the same cannot be said of Travis’ brother and former Eagles’ centre, Jason Kelce, or their father, Ed Kelce.
Dr Gizem noted:
“Though Travis’ hair looks perfectly fine, both his brother and father have experienced noticeable hair loss likely due to androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness. Not only does their hair seem to be thinning, but they also have receding hairlines. It isn’t too aggressive though, as they both appear to be on the Norwood Scale 2 to 3 — which are the earlier stages of hair loss.
Travis may experience hair loss in the future, but it cannot be said that he definitely will based on the experiences of his sibling and father alone. That’s because hair loss genetics are a bit complex, and both parents can contribute to the condition.”
However, if Travis were to experience hair loss, Dr Gizem had several recommendations for the star athlete:
“These days, there are several non-surgical interventions that can help in the treatment of hair loss, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, salmon DNA polynucleotide injections and even simple biotin supplements.
But if he is really concerned about his hair loss and wants to prevent it from progressing further, the FDA-approved minoxidil can be particularly effective.”
